Rede claims itself as a social movement of popular education that is organized nationally, mainly through popular preparatory courses for the Enem and entrance exams, aimed at the socioeconomically vulnerable population, black people and students from the public school system. The research investigated some questions that surround the existence of the course: how educational practices take place when it is necessary to criticize and denounce the exclusionary character of entrance exams and Enem and, at the same time, the proposal to enable the access of the lower classes to Universities Public? How to deal with this conflict when the students of popular courses, commonly, are surpluses that are left out of the vacancies? In addition, what are the uses and appropriations of the “popular education” category, considering the dialogue between the social movement and the party militancy in the cram and the network? That said, I shed light on some discursive elaborations, organizational strategies and conflicts observed in the field, showing the plural, dynamic and multifaceted character of Cursinho Marielle Franco. Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Este trabalho é resultado de uma etnografia realizada no Cursinho Popular Marielle Franco, da Rede Emancipa, na cidade de Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, com ênfase na atuação que tive em campo, de forma presencial e cotidiana, durante o ano de 2019. A Rede se reivindica enquanto um movimento social de educação popular que se organiza nacionalmente através, principalmente, de cursinhos populares preparatórios para o Enem e vestibulares, voltados à população vulnerável socioeconomicamente, negra e estudantes oriundos da rede pública de ensino. A pesquisa investigou algumas questões que circundam a existência do cursinho: como se dão as práticas educativas quando se faz necessário a crítica e denúncia do caráter excludente dos vestibulares e Enem e, ao mesmo tempo, a proposta de viabilizar o acesso das camadas populares às Universidades Públicas? Como lidar com esse conflito quando os/as estudantes dos cursinhos populares, comumente, são excedentes que ficam de fora das vagas? Além disso, quais os usos e apropriações da categoria “educação popular”, considerando a interlocução entre o movimento social e a militância partidária no cursinho e na rede?
