Resumo: | As the job market in the most diverse areas becomes more and more competitive, it is necessary for undergraduate students to participate in projects outside the classroom in order to develop skills required in the market that cannot be obtained only with the traditional higher education. This need can be mitigated for the area of Tourism, given the complexity of the area of themes that it encompasses. The Junior Enterprise Movement grows exponentially year after year, and comes as an alternative option to meet the aforementioned need. This research seeks to address the differential provided by Universitur, UFRN's Junior Tourism Enterprise, to professionals who were once part of it. This study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Its data were collected through online interviews conducted with former members of Universitur addressing the development of managerial and entrepreneurial skills, as well as questions about the added value to the interviewee and motivator for entering the Enterprise. Among the results, it can be mentioned that one of the main motivators for entering the Universitur was, in addition to putting classroom theories into practice, the search for identification of the undergraduate course. Furthermore, the connection with the professional market was quite important in addition to the sense of purpose found. As final considerations, the importance of the Universitur in the professional training of the interviewees and the competences developed there are identified, however this is caused by their proactivity in developing them; as a suggestion, there is the alternative of building an individual career plan for each person with skills and positions for the trajectory in the organization. |
