Resumo:One of the main stages of drilling an oil well is prospecting. For example, this stage is where seismic data processing for the study of soil characteristics is performed. Among many methods and algorithms used during the different stages of treatment of a seismic data, the Full Waveform Inversion has been gaining attention, since it is an efficient algorithm for obtaining good results in complex geologies. The present work seeks to optimize a FWI code already implemented in parallel, using Message Passing Interface (MPI), for distributed memory computational systems, which has task scheduling between different master-slave processes. Finally, several analysis were performed to measure performance in the original and modified codes.
