| Resumo: | Considering the importance of public investments for the development of tourism, the research aims to reveal the destination and profile of the resources executed by the Ministry of Tourism (MTur), in the period from 2003 to 2018. The research is descriptive and quantitative, based on the survey of data from the Union's Budget Execution Reports. The results of the survey allow us to conclude that the Northeast was the region that concentrated public investments in tourism over 16 years, followed by the Southeast region. The South, Midwest and North regions covered the smallest installments of investments. The resources applied by MTur were mainly in basic and tourist infrastructure and in second place in tourism promotion. |
