Data were collected through a questionnaire made available through digital media. As main results the study shows that the majority of the public is female, aged between 17 and 24 years. Having as the main source of income: scholarships and/or grants, with parents as responsible for household expenses. They buy less than once a month and spend less than R$ 100,00 on average per purchase. The most consumed product categories are electronics and footwear. Reason for purchase are low prices, variety and convenience. Negative points are freight value and lack of physical contact with the product. O objetivo do presente trabalho é analisar as características de consumo dos alunos da UFRN - Campus Currais Novos/RN, relacionada ao e-commerce. A metodologia utilizada é qualitativa, consistindo em um estudo com alunos do Centro de Ensino Superior do Seridó (CERES). A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de um questionário disponibilizado através das mídias digitais. Como principais resultados o estudo evidencia que a maior parte do público é do sexo feminino, com idade entre 17 e 24 anos. Tendo como a principal fonte de renda: bolsas e/ou auxílios, com os pais como os responsáveis pelas despesas domésticas. Compram menos de uma vez por mês e gastam menos de R$ 100,00 em média por compra. As categorias de produtos mais consumidas são eletrônicos e calçados. Motivo de compra são preços baixos, variedade e comodidade.
