Resumo:The objective of this work is to analyze the consumption characteristics of UFRN students - Campus Currais Novos / RN, related to e-commerce. The methodology used is qualitative, consisting of a study with students of the Higher Education Center of Seridó (CERES). Data were collected through a questionnaire made available through digital media. As main results the study shows that the majority of the public is female, aged between 17 and 24 years. Having as the main source of income: scholarships and/or grants, with parents as responsible for household expenses. They buy less than once a month and spend less than R$ 100,00 on average per purchase. The most consumed product categories are electronics and footwear. Reason for purchase are low prices, variety and convenience. Negative points are freight value and lack of physical contact with the product.
