| Resumo: | The Public Budget is a tool that allows government power to establish goals to enjoy the revenues obtained, so that the interested parties are awarded the result of the action of the use of these revenues, according to PIRES (2001) the public budget aims to define revenues and So that the public machine does not lose its balance in the public quotas, having efficiency and effectiveness. The present study had as object of research the municipality of Currais Novos/RN. The work comprised a descriptive research from the point of view of the objectives, documentary and bibliographical with respect to the technical procedures and qualitative in the form of approach. As the main results the research showed how the Public Budget is established in the city of Currais Novos, identifying that although the municipality has an interest in having a participatory budget and the population has had more interest in participating, the budget is concretely still made by the Traditional means, that is, without the active participation of the population. |
