| Resumo: | The search for maintenance of excellence is a pursued purpose for several productive sectors of society and also matter of relevance for the academic environment. It is no longer satisfactory make a good maintenance; there needs to be planning, quality, firmness and cost reduction, aiming to make it efficient, maximizing the conservation of equipment and doing better the expense control with active. One of the ways to get a higher performance and, consequently, improvement of the productive system, is related to the implantation of a program of maintenance management. In this sense, this conclusion work project has the objective to rate the maintenance function in the asset management process of candy company, in order to identify opportunities and implement improvements in the company. Characterized as a case study, the research was performed using the following procedures: a literature review as an exploratory-descriptive-explanatory character, accompanied by field research and a survey with experienced professional, manager of the company's maintenance area. The data from the application of the survey resulted in a rating of the ongoing maintenance management system, when searching for investigate the degree of maturity of maintenance function, from the world-class perspective, in a food company of the state of Rio Grande do Norte. As result, the diagnosis allowed to view which segments of the maintenance management of company assets have been able to undergo improvements. |
