Resumo:The present work consisted in the design and construction of a gas recirculator to be used with a dielectric barrier discharge plasma reactor. The project went through the design and sizing phase where the proportions that would define the size of the recirculator in relation to the reactor were obtained, followed by the manufacture of the acrylic chambers and also the purchase of some materials such as gas line pipes. During the assembly, changes were made in the design that were necessary, such as the application of liquid resin for sealing the chambers, adjustments of holles for fitting of connections and installation of electrical terminals. The calculus memo presents important variables for the project such as load losses, working pressure, flow rate, flow regime and it is possible to estimate how Argon and Helium, important gases for process with DBD, present different ends in relation to load losses, pressure drop and other characteristics of the flow.
