Resumo:Numerical simulation assists in the study of the behavior of an industrial process, but also helps to interpret relevant results close to the real one performed in experiments. Through mathematical methods of solving equations that represent the whole process analyzed. Knowing the importance of the simulations, this work consisted of two phases: the first one was carried out in the laboratory LABPLASMA, an experiment using the argon gas that entered the washer bottle and dragged the methyl alcohol, which was previously inserted in the bottom of the bottle. In this second stage, the simulation was created in the Fluent® program of the gas scrubber bottle, inserting the values collected in the experiment as boundary conditions for the purpose of analyzing the temperatures, pressures, velocities and fractions of the methyl alcohol that are vaporized through from the bottle system until you reach the plasma reactor. The mixing model used in the simulation is a good tool to analyze the evaporation of alcohol, but as it was not possible to obtain results close to those performed experimentally, it was verified the need for parameter adjustment.
