This study was carried out in the Tribology Study Group Laboratory (GET) of UFRN, from tribological tests using a pin-on-disk tribometer, where it was tried to satisfactorily understand the influence of friction force, coefficient of friction, temperature and wear on the material studied. The test had a duration of 33.3 minutes, minimum time for wear, and during its execution, results of friction coefficient, friction force and temperature were collected. It was observed a small variation in the force and the coefficient of friction of the tribological pair, besides increase of temperature and wear of the sample. O presente estudo propõe uma investigação preliminar para uma amostra de Policloropreno, amplamente utilizada como revestimento em cilindros, deslizando sobre aço AISI 52100, que representam uma composição de pares mecânicos em contato no maquinário de uma Indústria Têxtil Potiguar. Esse estudo foi desenvolvido no Laboratório do Grupo de Estudos em Tribologia (GET) da UFRN, a partir de ensaios tribológicos utilizando um tribômetro com configuração pino sobre disco, onde se buscou compreender satisfatoriamente a influência da força de atrito, coeficiente de atrito, temperatura e desgaste no material estudado. O ensaio teve duração de 33,3 de acordo com o estabelecido.
