Resumo:A comparative study was performed with a solar cooker for concentration of two configurations: mono and bifocal. The stove can be classified as a butterfly stove, with two parabolic parameters, taken from a 0.65 m² satellite dish each. The manufacturing, assembly and operation processes of the proposed solar cooker are presented. After its manufacture and assembly, the stove was tested to determine its focal temperature, for settings, and later to produce or cook various foods from a northeastern meal. A comparative study was performed for two studied configurations and qualified as a more viable configuration. The cooker is relatively easy to handle and can be operated by people with low intellectual and social levels. without major difficulties and complications. The results of the tests performed for all foods tested are presented. The feasibility of using the proposed solar cooker for two tested configurations was demonstrated, being more viable in the bifocal configuration, produced or cooking of all tested foods with competitive times compared to other cookers already studied and published in the solar food cooking literature. . The equipment proved to be able to cook food without the use of any fossil energy, being a good option for the family economy, reducing environmental impacts and allowing the selective replacement of firewood and cooking gas (GLV).
