| Resumo: | This article aims at making research data from the Civil Police Departments of the cities
in the Judicial Districts of Seridó Region, State of Rio Grande do Norte. In this
research, the criminality rates for the years 2008 to 2014 will be presented, by analyzing
the police inquiries initiated in the region. The police inquiry is undoubtedly the most
useful instrument of the Judicial Police, whatever its form of establishment, either
through the prison, ministerial request or ordinance. Within a general context, the
structure and organization of the Civil Police stations surveyed will be presented, briefly
analyzing the theoretical framework underlying the police investigation, and later a
quantitative survey of crime in recent years in the Seridó/RN region will be made.
Ultimately, the major crime problems found in the area surveyed will be highlighted. |
