I used the ethnographic method from observations over the school and livings during the practical training period. The extracurricular stage effectively contributed to my training, because I had the chance to get direct contact with the reality and necessities of everyday life of early childhood education for a long time. In addition to writing and reflect upon that reality, I express also my contribution and learning during that period. The conclusion I draw we need to be able to reflect on the process of training we live now, and about the work that we’ll develop in the context of formation of a subject conscious, autonomous, a citizen. Este trabalho apresenta uma experiência vivida no estágio extracurricular realizado no Centro Municipal de Educação infantil Nossa Senhora de Lourdes/Natal/RN, nos anos letivos 2014 e 2015. Tem como objetivo refletir criticamente sobre essa vivência destacando a sua importância para o meu processo de formação. Utilizei o método etnográfico a partir de observações da instituição escolar e vivencias durante o período de estagio. O estágio extracurricular contribuiu efetivamente para minha formação, pois tive a oportunidade de ter por um longo período, contato direto com a realidade e necessidades do dia a dia da educação infantil. Além de descrever e refletir sobre essa realidade, expresso também, a minha contribuição e aprendizado durante esse período.
