Initially the formation of human senses was studied since gestation and the seriousness of sense activities in childhood. Posteriorly were used the contributions of child development psychologists like Lev S. Vygotsky (1896-1934), Jean Piaget (1896- 1980) and Henri Wallon (1879-1962) for a purpose to connect the stages of child development until three years with sensorial activities according the referential of each author. Their theories have some different points, however, exist something common among them, that is, they explain that the human development happen in a reciprocal relation between biological and social aspects like the development of motor and cognitive systems and also the relationship between the affectivity, the culture and language. We present proposals of tactile, sound, gustatory, olfactory and visual activities as well as a way of realize them and the necessary stuff. Reaching a conclusion that is possible to create conditions to realize these activities in child education for a better development of their mental and cognitive skills. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar as possibilidades e contribuições das atividades que envolvem os sentidos com relação a crianças até três anos de idade., mediante uma pesquisa bibliográfica de natureza qualitativa de acordo com o método indutivo. Inicialmente estudou-se a formação dos sentidos humanos desde a gestação e a importância das atividades sensoriais na infância. Posteriormente, foram utilizadas as contribuições de psicólogos do desenvolvimento infantil como Lev S. Vygotsky (1896-1934), Jean Piaget (1896- 1980) e Henri Wallon (1879-1962) com a finalidade de relacionar os estágios do desenvolvimento infantil até os três anos com as atividades sensoriais segundo o referencial de cada autor. Suas teorias possuem muitos pontos diferentes, todavia, existe algo em comum entre elas: defendem uma posição interacionista, isto é, explicam que o desenvolvimento humano acontece em uma relação recíproca entre aspectos biológicos e sociais, como o desenvolvimento dos sistemas motores e cognitivos e também a relação entre a afetividade, a cultura e a linguagem. Apresentamos propostas de atividades táteis, sonoras, gustativas, olfativas e visuais bem como o modo de realizá-las e os materiais utilizados.
