Resumo:Discussions on literature have attracted interest from education and childhood researchers, but have yet to be addressed in a timid manner in the hospital context of education. We start from the following question of study: what are the implications that the literature reflects on the emotional aspects in the pediatric sector of HUOL? The present study aims to reflect on the infant literature and its implications on the emotional aspects of children in treatment in pediatrics at University Hospital Onofre Lopes (HUOL). The study is characterized by the approach of qualitative research in education, exploratory bibliographical, empirical and data production through questionnaires applied to the pedagogues and psychologist, who work in the Hospital Class of the Pediatric Hospital of the Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes (HUOL) Located in the district of Petrópolis, Natal/RN - Brazil. In the process of data analysis we work with the study of Brazilian legislation on this subject, as well as the investigation of theoretical assumptions that give the scientific support in the area of learning and hospitalization. We start from a review of the literature on educational approaches that deal with education, especially within the scope of the Hospital Class with authors such as: Ceccim, R. B; Carvalho (1997), Fonseca (1999), Matos and Mugiatti (2010), among others; We conducted a documentary analysis based on the laws envisaged for special education in Brazil. We found out from the concrete construction of the Project: “Read and play in Imagination’s World” that through storytelling it is possible to interact with children and adolescents and create an atmosphere of relaxation, generating learning and concretizing moments of affection and affectivity.
