The research was developed based on theoretical conceptions such as: Fiorentini (1995), Smole (2007), Amarilha (2000), Passos (2002) among other renowned authors in the field of education. The methodological approach is of a qualitative nature, the research was conducted through investigation and careful investigation of six literary books aimed at the literacy cycle. From the analysis of the data, we can see how the potential of children's literature for learning to decrease in the various fields of knowledge, as well as their contributions in mathematical education, which consists in the development of skills in the area such as: classifying, ordering, raising hypotheses, interpreting and formulating problems through children's stories. A literatura infantil exerce um importante papel no processo de ensino-aprendizagem e, contribui para o desenvolvimento intelectual, cognitivo, social e cultural do indivíduo. Partindo desse pressuposto o presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar a articulação entre literatura infantil e a educação matemática no acervo de obras do PNLD Literário-2018, apresentando uma proposta de ensino interdisciplinar. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida baseando-se em concepções de teóricos como: Fiorentini (1995), Smole (2007), Amarilha (2000), Passos (2002) dentre outros autores renomados da área da educação. A abordagem metodológica é de cunho qualitativo, o encaminhamento da pesquisa se deu pela exploração e investigação criteriosa de seis livros literários voltados para o ciclo de alfabetização.
