Resumo:Children's literature plays an important role in the teaching-learning process and contributes to the individual's intellectual, cognitive, social and cultural development. Based on this assumption, the present study aims to analyze the articulation between children's literature and mathematical education in the collection of PNLD Literary-2018 works, mod an interdisciplinary teaching proposal. The research was developed based on theoretical conceptions such as: Fiorentini (1995), Smole (2007), Amarilha (2000), Passos (2002) among other renowned authors in the field of education. The methodological approach is of a qualitative nature, the research was conducted through investigation and careful investigation of six literary books aimed at the literacy cycle. From the analysis of the data, we can see how the potential of children's literature for learning to decrease in the various fields of knowledge, as well as their contributions in mathematical education, which consists in the development of skills in the area such as: classifying, ordering, raising hypotheses, interpreting and formulating problems through children's stories.
