For this, we used the bibliographic research, document analysis and statistics related to the microdados of the higher education census provided by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP), to the Final Report of the V Socioeconomic and Cultural Profile Research of the Undergraduates from Federal Institutions of Higher Education made possible by the National Forum of the Dean of Student Affairs (FONAPRACE) and the reports that have the activities that collaborate with the permanence of students, prepared by UFRN, through the Coordination of Student Health Care (CASE). It was found that the many adversities that students face in their academic trajectories require actions that help them in these demands with programs and projects that discuss and guide possible resolutions of these problems. The activities developed by CASE are extremely important for the UFRN student body. However, it is inferred that there were few attendances in the years analyzed compared to the large group of university students. It can then be stated that the activities should be better exposed, disseminated and also evaluated, since the reports are insufficient to follow the evolution of the programs and projects executed by the coordination. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as ações de permanência da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte para estudantes dos cursos de graduação. Para tanto, utilizou-se da pesquisa bibliográfica, análise documental e de dados referentes aos microdados do censo do ensino superior disponibilizados pelo Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP), ao Relatório Final da V Pesquisa de Perfil Socioeconômico e Cultural dos (as) Graduandos (as) das Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior viabilizados pelo Fórum Nacional dos Pró-Reitores de Assuntos Estudantis (FONAPRACE) e aos relatórios que dispõem das atividades que colaboram com a permanência dos discentes, elaboradas pela UFRN, através da Coordenadoria de Atenção à Saúde do Estudante (CASE). Constatou-se que as inúmeras adversidades que os estudantes enfrentam em suas trajetórias acadêmicas requerem ações que os auxiliem nessas demandas com programas e projetos que discutam e orientem sobre possíveis resoluções dessas problemáticas. As atividades desenvolvidas pela CASE são extremamente importantes para o corpo estudantil da UFRN. Todavia, infere-se que houveram poucos atendimentos nos anos analisados comparado ao grande grupo de estudantes da universidade.
