For this study it was necessary, based on the qualitative approach research comes education, a bibliographical research through a literature review, and for that, we had as guiding factors: Piaget (2004), Freire (1996), Sans , Moreira (1983), Luquet (1969), Ferreira (2005), among others that anchored us in the approaches on the subject. Therefore, we discuss some relevant points about the use children's drawing in the literacy process, directed in the school in the good way, develops the different languages of the child in this period. We also present the meaning of drawing for the child and the importance in children's drawing in literacy. In addition, we show the child's drawing as a graphic and artistic language and it contributes significantly to the language and writing construction, as well, to assist in the motor coordination child, especially in literacy, revealing the free manifestation to the child, designed without use models and according to their development in the graphics phases. O presente artigo tem como finalidade mostrar a contribuição do desenho infantil como forma de oferecer muitas oportunidades para a aprendizagem, contribuindo para a aquisição da leitura e da escrita na alfabetização e para o desenvolvimento da criança. Para esse estudo foi necessário, com base na abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa vem educação, fazer uma pesquisa bibliográfica através de uma revisão de literatura, e, para isso, tivemos como norteadores: Piaget (2004), Freire (1996), Sans (2009), Moreira (1983), Luquet (1969), Ferreira (2005), entre outros que nos ancoraram nas abordagens sobre o tema estudado. Assim, discutimos alguns pontos relevantes sobre a utilização do desenho infantil no processo de alfabetização, pois o mesmo, se bem direcionado na escola, desenvolve as diferentes linguagens da criança neste período. Apresentamos também o significado do desenho para a criança e a importância do desenho infantil na alfabetização.
