Thus, the present work is characterized as a scientific article, with the purpose of ascertaining the contributions of affectivity in the process of learning and development in early childhood education. Discussing the contributions of the emotions, from a literary and theoretical analysis based on the studies of Henri Wallon (1975, 1986, 1971, 1995), Casvão (2009), Galvão (1995), Dantas (1990, 1992) on the subject and will have a qualitative, bibliographical methodology, characterized by a research based on the official documents of early childhood education, the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Early Childhood Education (1996) and the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Education (1998). Thus, we conclude that the affectivity revealed through the emotions must be valued and understood, helping the work of the teachers, being of great value to know and approach the child, that can develop in a comprehensive, integral way. In this way, affectivity is an essential component in the school environment, establishing relations of exchange in the situations of their day to day.
