In the kindergarten, the act of playing becomes fundamental to the child, resulting in learning by herself, as well as the understand of the world. This qualitative research was carried out through an interview with open questions that was answered by level three teachers of kindergarten a Municipal Nursery in the city of Currais Novos - RN, the valuing of playful and the need in making it necessary for children were established as results, as learning in a practical way and objective. Therefore, it believes this article will contribute to some research, which talk about important games and jokes in the Child Education, already published. Being necessary that teachers study more about those matters, obtaining theory knowledge and improving the work with playfulness together with children and thus provide their cognitive, social, emotional and physical motor development. O presente artigo trata dos jogos e brincadeiras na Educação Infantil, o mesmo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, cujo objetivo é mostrar a importância do brincar no processo de desenvolvimento da criança, na construção do conhecimento através de brincadeiras, jogos e brinquedos. Na educação infantil o ato de brincar torna-se fundamental para que a criança aprenda consigo mesmo e a entender o mundo. Esta pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa foi desenvolvida por meio de uma entrevista com questões abertas a qual foi respondida por professores do nível três de ensino infantil de uma Creche Municipal situada na cidade de Currais Novos - RN, tendo como resultado desse estudo a valorização do lúdico e a necessidade de torna-lo necessário para a aprendizagem das crianças de forma prática e objetiva. Portanto, acredita-se que este trabalho contribuirá para as pesquisas já existentes sobre os jogos e as brincadeiras que são considerados de fundamental importância na Educação Infantil.
