Resumo:This article deals with games and jokes in the Child Education; thus, it presents the results of a qualitative research, whose the main goal is to show the importance of play in child development process, the construction of knowledge through play, games and toys. In the kindergarten, the act of playing becomes fundamental to the child, resulting in learning by herself, as well as the understand of the world. This qualitative research was carried out through an interview with open questions that was answered by level three teachers of kindergarten a Municipal Nursery in the city of Currais Novos - RN, the valuing of playful and the need in making it necessary for children were established as results, as learning in a practical way and objective. Therefore, it believes this article will contribute to some research, which talk about important games and jokes in the Child Education, already published. Being necessary that teachers study more about those matters, obtaining theory knowledge and improving the work with playfulness together with children and thus provide their cognitive, social, emotional and physical motor development.
