Unfortunately, it is noticeable that some students have changed, but cannot follow the contents for not reaching the reading skills; writing and interpretation. In short, this study through field research and a glimpse of the real situation bibliographical, why so many investment without return, that is, even with the various improvements in education and continuing training of educators, has not yet been enough to encourage a appropriate development. O presente trabalho, sob o tema: Possibilidades de Alfabetização e Letramento na Educação Infantil Nível V, trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica que tem como base autores como: Ana Teberosky (1998), Telma Weisz (2001), Emília Ferreiro (2001) e Magda Soares (2004) e, também, pesquisas de campo em uma escola pública que possui credibilidade diante a população caicoense, buscando esclarecer, assim, o porquê de tantas crianças que apresentam dificuldades para se alfabetizarem. Infelizmente, é perceptível que alguns alunos têm mudado de ano, mas, não conseguem acompanhar os conteúdos por não atingirem as competências de leitura; escrita e interpretação.
