Resumo:Going over the history of our education methodology and literature applied in EYA - Education for Youths and Adults is presented in this work within a Freirean perspective where it has sought to address the aspects of popular education in Brazil. First we will address public policies, fights, campaigns and movements for mass education that failed to follow their training processes in mainstream education according to age and time defined by law. We discuss events that marked the 1930s and 1940s in Brazil, these landmark dates in the curricular restructuring of the country. Secondly we discuss the trajectory of EYA Teaching in Brazil, dialogue with authors like Beleiz Junior (2012), Haddad and Pierro (2000), Aquino (2012) among others as Paulo Freire through his works: Pedagogy of Autonomy, Pedagogy of the Oppressed and the Act of Reading. We will also support us in the Guideline Law and Bases of National Education and PCNs - Youth and Adult Education (EYA). When dealing with that is literate in will report to Soares (2004) and Ferreiro (1985). Regarding the relationship between literature and experiences of the students we will use as theoretical apparatus Gonçalves and Cunha (2014), Eiterer and Abreu (2009), Santos and Freitas (2016). Third will be analyzed making room for other discussions, such as the methodology that should be used in every type of education. The qualification of teachers, the guiding theoretical framework of school proposals, finally, the central axes adopted for the smooth functioning of the process, with the political and ideological biases contained in the teaching procedure. Anyway, we will have the opportunity to reflect on the topic to be presented were fundamental for the transmission of knowledge in the pedagogical exercise and, consequently, think about learning the teaching young people and adults in the current context.
