Resumo:This work presented an intention that is to rethink the processes currently being developed in schools, particularly in the early years of elementary school, as well as expand my understanding of literacy processes and their difficulties. In the course of the theoretical research development, I based myself with the statements of some researchers, among them, there is Emilia Ferreiro to expose their thoughts and conceptions of the learning process is not only the teacher's duty, but of all that are around the child, ie, the teacher will only be a mediator for the students to develop their learning process. Therefore, I could strengthen my thought that to practice literacy of a student is necessary to start with the knowledge that this child carries and textual varieties for viewing from there, only then turn that learning into systematic knowledge. It is understood that the asset literacy is reading, and writing is a consequence of that knowledge. You cannot write before they learn to read; will always be the opposite, start the student approaches with different types of texts, reads, and writes from there. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect that an innovative process does not solve the problems of literacy. It is vital that the introduction written language practices are evaluated by observing the assumptions underlying it, and until now established as selective and deforming changes filters, whatever innovative proposal. Search incessantly a way to provide the child the support literacy foundation: reading, in order that there will be a solid and expressive literacy for students.
