Resumo:The Storytelling is one of the oldest means of human interaction , used since the dawn of humanity to transmit knowledge , stimulate imagination and fantasy, but also to pass moral , disciplinary values and develop an interest in reading. Through the stories , people galgam the opportunity to become assiduous and competent readers linguistically , and can walk an endless road of discovery and understanding of the world . This article aims storytelling contribution to stories to the process of teaching and learning in kindergarten . The methodology is bibliographical nature, with reference to the following authors : Abramovich (1997 ) , Bettelheim ( 2000/2002 ) , Rabbit ( 2001/2009 ) , Fernandes (2001 ), Lima ( 2012) , among others.
