The themes studied are continuous processes that need to be worked corporately to prevent school failure. If literacy is reading domain ownership and writing, literacy requires the use of social practices of these dimensions in different contexts, for this is the use of various textual media is necessary in order to promote the interaction of the child with the literate world, enabling the depth of good reading, writing and interpretation of the various panels that life provides, favoring the expansion of learning. Thus, this article is to study object diagnose situations that are interfering with the learning process in literacy cycle, based on published studies and field research in order to understand the effectiveness of satisfactory results with the simultaneous application of theory and pedagogical practice. A Alfabetização e Letramento são temáticas efervescentes no ambiente educacional, em virtude de diversos fatores como: o alto índice de analfabetismo nas séries iniciais, que acarreta a perpetuação histórica desse problema nos bancos escolares. A temática estudada são processos contínuos que precisam ser trabalhados associadamente para evitar o fracasso escolar. Se alfabetizar é apropriação do domínio da leitura e escrita, o letramento requer o uso das práticas sociais dessas dimensões em diferentes contextos, para isso se faz necessário o uso de diversos suportes textuais, a fim de favorecer a interação da criança com o mundo letrado, permitindo a profundidade da boa leitura, escrita e interpretação, favorecendo o alargamento do conhecimento.
