Resumo:The aim of this scientific paper is to highlight the pedagogical practices, focused on a literacy process in the form of literacy, in the class of 2nd year "A", the Municipal School Mr Grimaldi Ribeiro, which has a poor performance, in what is said regarding the acquisition of reading and writing. The work proposed to understand the methods and teaching strategies in the field of literacy. To better understand this process, the article makes a brief tour in the history of education, explaining the main pedagogical trends Reflecting on the present challenges of literacy teacher, to ensure the right skills for the school year, as the difficult task of involving the family in schools. In the search for a quality education, where children learn in a pleasant way, if an enabling environment is necessary, which facilitates the acquisition of language, making use of various activities.
