Addresses the idea of some thinkers about how the literacy process, which their importance and their value for teaching and learning through the livings of students and their everyday experiences. Emphasizes the student in the construction of knowledge and the development of their skills and abilities around the educational process, also we approached the teacher's performance, its methods and strategies for the success of literacy. The school should be a welcoming place and its social function is to train the students to experience the everyday situations of critical and participatory in society. a field survey was conducted to know the subjects of this process teachers, students, school, family. As also reported the difficulties, challenges and opportunities in the current context, which will serve as support to reflect about literacy in all its essence and to better understand their purpose in the social practices of related educational context. Where the challenge is now alphabetize valuing the student in all its aspects and it provides an opportunity to experience in social practices reading and writing significantly as participatory subject in the teaching learning process.

Este artigo traz a concepção de alfabetização e letramento como uma reflexão acerca da leitura e escrita. A qual é um tema atual e está presente nas reflexões sobre o processo de alfabetização que envolve os anos iniciais. Onde destaca que deve ser prioridade a alfabetização das crianças como direito garantido no decorrer do desenvolvimento deste artigo enfatiza compreender como pode alfabetizar letrando de forma eficaz, dentro de um contexto que propicie a criança como um sujeito ativo. Aborda a ideia de alguns pensadores sobre como é o processo de alfabetização, qual a sua importância e o seu valor para o ensino aprendizagem, através das vivencias dos educandos e suas experiências do cotidiano. Enfatiza o aluno na construção do saber e no desenvolvimento das suas capacidades e habilidades em torno do processo educativo, abordamos também a atuação do professor, seus métodos e estratégias para o sucesso da alfabetização. A escola deve ser um local acolhedor e sua função social é formar o discente para vivenciar as situações cotidianas de forma crítica e participativa na sociedade. Foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo para conhecermos os sujeitos desse processo professores, alunos, escola, família. Como também foi relatado as dificuldades, os desafios e possibilidades no contexto atual, onde servirá de suporte para refletirmos acerca da alfabetização em toda a sua essência e para compreendermos melhor sua finalidade dentro do contexto educacional relacionada as práticas sociais.
