Resumo:This article presents the design of literacy and literacy as a reflection about reading and writing. Which is a current theme and is present in the reflections on the process of literacy that involves the initial years. Which emphasizes that priority should be children's literacy as a right guaranteed in the course of the development of this article emphasizes understand how you can alphabetize letrando effectively, within a framework that fosters the child as an active subject. Addresses the idea of some thinkers about how the literacy process, which their importance and their value for teaching and learning through the livings of students and their everyday experiences. Emphasizes the student in the construction of knowledge and the development of their skills and abilities around the educational process, also we approached the teacher's performance, its methods and strategies for the success of literacy. The school should be a welcoming place and its social function is to train the students to experience the everyday situations of critical and participatory in society. a field survey was conducted to know the subjects of this process teachers, students, school, family. As also reported the difficulties, challenges and opportunities in the current context, which will serve as support to reflect about literacy in all its essence and to better understand their purpose in the social practices of related educational context. Where the challenge is now alphabetize valuing the student in all its aspects and it provides an opportunity to experience in social practices reading and writing significantly as participatory subject in the teaching learning process.
