Resumo:This paper discusses the importance of planning in Early Childhood Education for meaningful learning, as a tool of paramount importance for the teaching and learning processes, since it is through the pedagogical planning that the teacher analyzes his classroom practice and if his are providing the expected goal in the teaching and learning process. The choice of the theme is justified by the need to better understand the planning process for Early Childhood Education. In this sense, the research aims to investigate the importance of planning for teachers of the Children's Institution. The methodology used was exploratory research, from the perspective of qualitative research in education, using as data collection instruments the application of questionnaires, containing objective and subjective questions for the professional that works in the area of education, in order to respond to the proposed objectives in this study. Participant observation, reading and documentary analysis were also used as data construction tools such as the registers of the teacher's records and planning and the pedagogical project of the school. The study also supports the analysis of data constructed in a literature review on the subject. It was noticed that planning in early childhood education, positively contributes to the process of development of teaching / learning. It was verified that the researched teacher recognizes the importance of planning as a significant learning tool. It is concluded that planning in early childhood education has been a very important tool to provide rich learning experiences in this educational context.
