Resumo:This paper aims to address some theoretical and practical questions about the profile and qualification of the School Director for the performance of his functions in the context of democratic management, based on the study of institutions of the public education network of the State of Rio Grande do Norte . From a perspective of how the work of democratic management works, we seek to understand the process of choosing the management team of the public networks of the municipality of Natal and also the State Network of Rio Grande do Norte. Our intention is to know if there is a concern on the part of said Secretaries of Education in maintaining an alignment between the appropriate profile and the necessary qualification for function.
