Resumo:The fun and games: the playful in early childhood education aims to reveal the importance of learning playing through the games, toys and games. Through this research it was possible to understand how the playful can be an important and indispensable tool in learning, in the development-cognitive, affective and social development of children. The world's playfulness is a world where the child is in constant exercise. It is the world of fantasy, imagination, make-believe, play and play. We can say that the Ludi-co is a great laboratory that deserves all the attention of parents and educators, because it is through it that occur intelligent and reflective experiences practiced in emotion, pleasure and seriousness. Through play and games is the discovery of himself and the other, so you learn. It is the play that cri-dence is free to create and it is through creativity that the individual finds his self. One can say that the games and the games are the main child FISI-cas activities; in addition to providing physical and intellectual development, promotes health and greater understanding of the body schema. Educators of early childhood education must seek the welfare of small during the process of teaching and learning, thus salvaging the playful as a building tool. For the construction of this article were crucial theoretical, Kishimoto (1999), Huizinga (1999), Vygotsky (1987) among others. The consulted texts discuss how children learn through play and games, and co-hand the use of the ludic can contribute to the development of the child and the cons-struction of knowledge.
