Resumo:This work aims analyze what are the main contributions of the disciplines related the study of language through literacy practices of students in the initial formation of the Faculty of Education at a distance UFRN Polo Currais Novos. The literacy studies are increasingly making effective in different areas of knowledge, whether in the school sector, teacher training, in the digital environment, in professional activities, showing thus the fruitful transformation in this field of study. Methodologically follows the approach of qualitative and quantitative research (BOGDAN; BILKLEN, 1994; CHIZZOTTI, 2000). Theoretically, the research adopts as grants study publications related distance learning (MORAN, 2002; VITAL and MAIA, 2010; UAB, 2010; SILVA, 2012); studies of literacy (KLEIMAN, 1995; 2001; OLIVEIRA, 2008; 2012; HAMILTON, 2000; SREET, 2007; MARINO, 2010) and teacher formation (FREIRE, 2007; ALARCÃO, 2003). Partial results indicate difficulties of students in racing study the disciplines of language, especially because of inexperience with the production academic text, in addition the lack of feedback of these productions in the desire improve writing and other aspects of the text.
