Resumo:This monograph aims to understand how the public education policy Mais Educação is operated. This work is justified by seeking to complement the study on public education policies, more specifically on this program. Public policies play a fundamental role in building a more just society. In this sense, the population is fundamental in the process of stimulating, designing and monitoring these policies. In the last decades, the integral education has been discussed for the children of the country, claiming a better development of physical and psychological abilities. In this perspective, the Mais Educação program is an incentive of the federal government to promote integral education in municipal and state schools of any country. The program encourages the participation of several actors in the project, with active participation of the community and the students' families. This work approaches a study about this program in a state school located in the city of Vera Cruz, Rio Grande do Norte.
