| Resumo: | This study aims to examine the export basket of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the period from 2007 to 2019. As a methodology, the following indicators were calculated: Product Concentration index; Target Country Concentration Index; Comparative Advantage Index Revealed; Comparative Advantage index; Intra-Industry Trade Index and Coverage Rate. The indices, also used by Silva and Montalván (2008) in their research, indicate that between the years 2007 to 2019 there was an increase in the Product Concentration Index and a decrease in the Concentration Index by destination countries, meaning that less products were exported to more destinations. In the calculation of Revealed Comparative Advantage and Symmetric Comparative Advantage, a small portion of exported products is highlighted, especially fruits, citrus, and melon peels. In addition, it is observed that the tendency of the State's trade is to be of the interindustrial type, that is, when it exports more than it imports the same product. |
