Resumo: | This paper analyzes the effects of the implementation of the Plano de Desenvolvimento da Escola (PDE–Escola), as well as its implications for the autonomy of school management, taking as a study case a selection of schools in the city of Natal/RN. This plan is a strategic planning tool for improving school management. The design of the PDE–Escola was raised, as its stages, participation criteria, objectives and goals set by the schools, as well as a review of the number of participating school units, administrative region where they are inserted, whether they managed to raise the IDEB or not, besides differentiating what is the PDE, PDE–Escola and PDDE–Interativo. It was made available by MEC/FNDE, through the LAI (Lei de Acesso à Informação), a database of the state schools in which they received the investments. Thus, there was a territorial cut contemplating the city of Natal to develop the analyzes on site. Thus, semi-structured interviews were conducted with professionals inserted in school management to understand the process of implementation of the PDE–Escola. The research verified the importance of autonomy, training of school management and technical support in the process of implementation of educational public policies, as well as identified obstacles during the implementation stage of the PDE–Escola in the selected school units |
