| Resumo: | Over the years, the Favorito supermarket chain has been seeking to expand in the city of Natal-RN, mainly in the East Zone, an area that currently does not have operations. Therefore, this study aims to find the ideal location for the opening of a new unit of the Favorito supermarket in the East Zone of the city of Natal-RN, analyzing the neighborhoods in the region and the supermarkets present. Also listing the population, income, consumption potential of each neighborhood and the sales estimate of each possible competitor in the selected territory. From this, the Excel tool was used to cross-reference the data, taking into account both the centroids of the neighborhoods and the supermarkets. Afterwards, the application of the center of gravity model was performed to search for the ideal point for construction. In this way, the combinations of these factors provide the network with support for decisionmaking, seeking an assertive resolution as much as possible to serve its customers more and more. Therefore, the ideal location will be in the district of Tirol, close to Avenida Hermes da Fonseca. |
