| Resumo: | The particular automobile centered urban mobility has been consolitading itself as
Natal/RN’s city profile. Solutions towards car and motorcycle usage in response to the growth
of the city’s population and economic status are conducting a car dependency state. However
few collective and individual transportation solutions strategies are been applied to balance the
local demands. This monography proposes the adoption of infrastructural measures towards a
shared space on the central campus of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and the
creation of a bike sharing at the same place. The study uses a infrastructural evalution of the
campus’s current state and describes the modifications needed to increase the mobility service
level offered to the students. The bike sharing system pilot project dimensioning to the campus
is done by taking worldwide systems sizing as base. |
