| Resumo: | This research program investigates the methodology for the generation of dimensionless abacuses for the design of circular section columns made with conventional and high strength concrete. The use of dimensionless abacus is one of the alternatives for the design of reinforced concrete columns and the construction of this tool for columns of circular section made with conventional concrete and of high resistance is shown to be important due to the lack of these abacuses for this type of section. The paper exposes two abacus generation methodologies, always based on the ABNT NBR 6118: 2014 standard. With the help of the Microsoft Excel Program, a spreadsheet is generated to allow the creation of this tool and some examples are solved to exemplify its use and efficiency. In the end, a series of dimensionless abacus is left which can be consulted by students and professionals. |
