Resumo:The construction industry is one of the ones that generate the most solid waste, being responsible for the generation of about 31 million tons per year in Brazil. In this way, recycling emerged as a solution to this problem and with it new products of recycled origin began to emerge as the block of concrete with recycled aggregate that has as characteristics to be fitable and because its weight can be used in containment structures like the walls of support of gravity. The objective of the study is to analyze the most efficient and economic arrangement for each height from the checks of the main stability conditions. The optimization was done taking as base the soil of Natal / RN, leaving its parameters constant for all cases and having as a variant factor the number of blocks and position occupied by them. The results showed that for the case which the structure was embedded in the mass of backfill soil the required number of blocks is smaller and grows little as the height overcome by the walls, as well as the other case in which the wall is out of the ground, there is a similar behavior up to a certain point and afterwards, with the increase of active thrust, there is a greater increase of the minimum number of blocks necessary to reach the required minimum safety factors. The data obtained in units most commonly used as the number of blocks per m² of face and of blocks per meter were presented in order to easily obtain the required quantity of blocks if you want a general estimate of the quantity required in the project. The saving in the number of blocks is one of the main factors that minimize the cost of the work and must be done through the best possible configuration of the block arrangement.
