Resumo:The materials represent a significant portion of the overall cost in a building. The stages that are involved with the buying and administration of these elements in the construction companies have been relegated for a long time. The acquisition of these supplies without proper planning may incur in surprises and inconvenients throughout the construction process. On the other hand, the elaboration of a planning and the application of a management of the supplies proactively and efficiently provides significant benefits in a building, such as reducing stocks, productivity increase, less waste and cost reduction. This work has the objective of conducing an investigation of the management and the control of supplies in the civil construction when applied to one of the models used as reference in the elaboration of budgets by the Sistema Nacional de Pesquisa de Custos e Índices da Construção Civil (SINAPI). To do so, a standart project provided by this System was chosen. In possession of these data and with the analysis of the information, it was determined the ideal moments of acquisition of the supplies for the project. Physical schedules and material acquisitions were made, with support on SINAPI’S compositions.It has been realized that managing the inputs of a construction is not an easy task, and deserves a lot of attention, since each situation has different needs and realities, so the process of planning and managing the supplies depends on many variables and can occur differently depending on the technical characteristics of the construction involved, becoming essential for the monitoring and control of buildings .
