Resumo:In light of the concept of property sustainability, aiming at lower costs and the usage of clean energies, the necessity to adapt existing buildings arises. This term paper presents the installation proposal of a solar photovoltaic generation of electric energy for the Technology Center at UFRN and the retrofit application using LED technology in the building, including the viability studies. To that effect, were gathered the lighting charges, air conditioning and other electric equipments of the building. With the surveyed data, a simulation of the representativity of these charges in the monthly energy consumption was made at the studied building using the CCK 7550E measurement equipment. Furthermore, a solarimetric study of the region was made and the sizing of the photovoltaic panels to estimate the total potential of the produced energy through the system. The technical-economic viability study, made by the return of investment analysis using the present net value method, demonstrates that the presented solution is advantageous and significantly contributes to the reduction of energy consumption and to the property autonomy.
