Resumo:The panorama currently lived in Construction industry favors the use of new tools in order to have better control and project management, as well as an increase in productivity and rationalization of construction materials and processes. To solve such problems, a tool that has been widely used in the industry is lean construction, derived from the Toyota Production System. Concurrently to this need, we can see the fast development of information and communication technologies (ICT). Thus, in order to reduce the many losses caused by waiting and overproduction, an engineering team developed a computer system able to control the activities done at the construction site using the concepts and tools of lean construction. The work staff through "Lean Terminals” check their weekly schedules, set the andon when necessary and request the amount and type of mortar and material they need to work and, through tablets, operators of concrete mixers and winches receive this information and now perform what was requested, thus avoiding idle and wait for material. Therefore, this paper, through a case study aims to analyze the use of a computerized system applied to the concepts of Lean Construction, comparing the data obtained in this with data from the implementation of lean thinking, concluding that use of it was effective for generating more reliable reporting, better level the production and gain greater control of the time and pace of activities.
