| Resumo: | The increasingly competitive market has put pressure on the brazilian construction industry to look for ways to reduce costs and add value to its products so that companies can maintain their profits. An effective mean of achieving this is through supply chain management and stock management at a construction site, reducing waste, delays and inefficiency. A correct control of supplies and stock provides the choice of supplier, purchase, transport, storage and use of supplies in the exact quantities to guarantee the best offer and avoid delays due to lack of material and also waste with stocked and obsolete stock. Information technology also comes as an ally in this search and the development of ERP systems for an integrated management of a company's resources can result in time optimization, reduction of lead time, reduction of rework, reduction of costs with stock and personnel. Although its implementation and maintenance bring some additional costs and difficulties in adapting, in general, its return is usually much higher. The present work examined the benefits that the utilization of this computerized resource brought in a construction company in Natal-RN, relating it to the characteristics indicated in the literature. |
