Descrição
Resumo:Permeability, or hydraulic conductivity, of a soil is one of the most important properties in the study of geotechnics, its concept is given as the ease of passage of a fluid through a porous medium. The determination of this property can be done in several different ways, such as through laboratory tests, field trials and indirect methods. This work sought to find, by means of bibliographical research, an empirical coefficient by which it was possible to determine the permeability coefficient of a sandy soil using only the granulometric curve, as proposed by the English scientist Allen Hazen. From the research carried out, a coefficient corresponding to a good part of the literature was reached, in the value of 106.
