Resumo:One of the main steps in the design of structures subjected to seismic actions is the determination of the seismic demand. For this, the seismic codes of each place have established maps of characteristic seismic accelerations, being the determination of this variable one of the first necessary steps for the adequate accomplishment of this type of project. Generally, these maps are based on statistical studies. Thus, the main steps of Probabilistic Analysis of Seismic Hazard (PSHA), which has been the most used methodology for the construction of these maps, are presented in the present work. In that way, the application of PSHA in the construction of seismic response spectra by two different procedures is explored. In addition, some of the main seismic hazard map proposals are examined, addressing, for each one, the main parameters used and the results obtained by them, showing, therefore, the need to readjust the current map of ABNT NBR 15421:2006. Finally, in the context of response spectra, a seismic analysis considering two model structures was performed using a design spectrum obtained by the national seismic code and their internal forces were evaluated.
