The present work has the purpose of verifying the possible microstructural differences and consequently differences of properties that an aluminum-silicon alloy metal powder can obtain when compacted in different compaction loads, in this experiment twelve test bodies were prepared in four different compaction loads ( 300,400,450 and 500 Mpa), the base material for the work was a chipshaped aluminum alloy which was passed through a ball mill for about four hours at half-hourly intervals to check whether the granulometry was already adequate was used sieves of about 100 mesh, to ensure that all specimens would have the same granulometry, then half a gram of the powdered material was placed in a 0.6 cm diameter die and with the aid of a universal compacting at different loads. After compacting the material was weighed again and with the aid of a pachymeter, then its dimensions were removed where we obtain the first difference in the test bodies. The samples that had a higher compaction load were of shorter length and, consequently, denser. Then the sintering of the test bodies was carried out in a tubular furnace with the following parameters 600C for two hours. Following the principle of Archimedes for the verification of the apparent weight and wet weight where it was verified that the samples with a lower degree of compaction behaved with a greater weight gain because in them a greater degree of porosity was obtained, the metallographic preparation. O presente trabalho tem como finalidade verificar as possíveis diferenças microestruturais e por consequência diferenças de propriedades que um pó metálico liga alumínio-silício pode obter quando compactado em diferentes cargas de compactação, neste experimento foram preparados doze corpos de provas em quatro diferentes cargas de compactação (300,400,450 e 500 Mpa), o material base para o trabalho foi uma liga de alumínio em forma de cavacos que foi passado por um moinho de bolas por cerca de quatro horas em intervalos de meia hora para verificar se a granulometria já estava adequada foi utilizada peneiras de cerca de 100 mesh,para garantir que todos os corpos de prova teriam a mesma granulometria, em seguida meia grama do material em forma de pó foi colocado em um molde de 0,6 cm de diâmetro e com o auxílio de uma máquina universal de ensaios foi realizado a compactação em diferentes cargas. Após a compactação o material foi pesado novamente e com a ajuda de um paquímetro, então foi retirada suas dimensões onde obtemos a primeira diferença nos corpos de provas. As amostras que tiveram uma maior carga de compactação ficaram com o menor comprimento e como consequência mais densas. Em seguida foi realizada a sinterização dos corpos de provas em um forno tubular com os seguintes parâmetros 600C durante duas horas.
