Resumo: | The aim of this work was to evaluate, from the economic and financial point of view, the production viability of Acerola (Malpighia emarginata), Guava (Psidium guajava) and Manga (Mangifera indica) in 1 hectare in the municipality of Macaíba / RN. To this end, a descriptive and exploratory study was carried out to identify the main financial viability indicators of projects, such as Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return and Payback, as well as the sensitivity analysis against scenarios associated with the pessimistic, probable and optimistic estimates of the cash flow. The analysis of economic and financial data was performed following the mechanisms derived from financial mathematics and, for the sensitivity and scenario analysis, the principles of project management and rural economy were used. Results indicate the conditions of financial economic viability of the three cultures under study. The NPV returned a positive value of R$ 8,172.80, R$ 131,220.44 and R$ 55,776.05, for Acerola, Guava and Mango crops, respectively. Guava and Mango crops presented an
IRR (33.89% and 13.35%, respectively) higher than TMA (12%), suggesting that the investment should be accepted. The payback for these two cultures was between 4-5 and 7-8 years respectively. Acerola's crop showed IRR (3.44%) below TMA (12%) and Payback between 13-14 years. |
